Lanai is less touristy as is Molokai - but for Luxury Lani or The Island of Hawaii would be my choice.įor the most part Hawaii as a state is a famliy destination, family is the heart of the culture. We've been to Kauai, Oahu, and Maui - we find the Island of Hawaii to be relaxed and not crowded.Īll of the islands have quieter spots. The Island of Hawaii is the forum you have posted on, and it is big, thus there are lots of open spaces and it doesn't feel crowded or touristy to us.
